1-2 Thessalonians

Study Length: 2 weeks

Does it seem like the world could collapse at any moment? New facts and images delivered daily shake our views on life’s meaning, suffering and justice. How are believers to think and act? Paul gave God’s answer in two letters to the Thessalonians.

A sudden crisis and prolonged danger kept Paul physically separated from these new believers. Yet, he remained devoted to them. He prayed and kept in touch. Paul knew that no person is sure of one more minute in this life. His letters encourage believers to persevere in the cause of Christ, expecting His return at any time. Jesus will end suffering and serve justice.

This 2-week study leads us to live for Jesus. Whatever comes, God secures believers in His unshakable fellowship of peace, grace and love. Paul and the Thessalonians chose to glorify God through faith in action. Their choices resulted in global goodness, even for today. How might our choices to faithfully obey God impact our times and future generations?
